The Relationship of Omega 3 Fatty Acids and Male Fertility
What is the relationship among omega 3 fatty acids and male fertility?
That’s such a great inquiry with an even greater reply.
Scientists are delving into the field of omega 3 fatty acids with its relations to sperm and sperm mobility. However, as of today, there are a number of benefits confirmed for omega 3 fish oil.
For instance, it has been confirmed that the fatty acids in fish have great impact in the progress of blood flow to the genitals. It also lessens blood pressure and sustains a healthy prostate gland.
These fish oil products are truly essential to the act of reproduction.
Increase of the flow of blood to the genitals and normal blood pressure lessen the risk of erectile dysfunction. And it is quite obvious that it’s difficult to reproduce if there’s trouble rising to the occasion.
Prostatitis is a disease that involves the swelling of the prostate; the disease has serious reproductive repercussions. It is essential for a man to supplement with fish oil on a regular basis so as to have the natural anti-inflammatory ability of the fatty acids to keep the prostate in good shape.
However, sperm delivery is only one part of reproduction. Sperm cells have to be many, strong, healthy and mobile in order for fertilization to happen.
Cholesterol and oxidation within the sperm are the two leading factors of male infertility.
Sperm cell membranes are mostly comprised of important fatty acids and cholesterol. 60% of these are DHA, commonly found in fish oil as the omega 3 fatty acid. [Molecular Human Reproduction, Vol. 4, 111-118]
And it has been examined that fertile men have a much higher level of DHA in their sperm cell membranes as compared to infertile men.
Thus, DHA has an enormous outcome on the health and capability of the sperm.
Cholesterol amount in the sperm is a symbol of infertility. Greater cholesterol would only mean greater risks of infertility. Causes of it are the depletion of fatty acids in the sperm. [Biology of Reproduction, vol. 59, 7-11]
The rationale with such is that the lack of enough good fatty acids in a man’s body gives room for cholesterol in the sperm membrane thus resulting in un-matured sperms.
In layman’s term, low fatty acids cause a man to be shooting blanks.
However, abnormal sperm cells make free radicals that cause oxidation and annihilation of healthy normal sperms. Also, it increases infertility. [Current Medical Chemistry, Vol. 8, 851-862]
Thus, fish oil omega 3 fatty acids and male fertility do both have a great impact.
If you increase your intake of important fatty acids like omega 3 with DHA, there would be no problems with infertility. And the sole natural source for such DHA is found within fish and fish oil.
Improved fish oil intake means improving the sperm. Thus, increases your likelihood of reproducing.

Get Organized – Do You Eat Your Food Too Fast?
While it may not have occurred to many people, leading a disorganized life can and does often result in one being overweight. The majority who lack organization in their daily lives tend to spend most of their time rushing about and this includes eating. Of course, it stands to reason that those who eat to fast also often end up eating too much.
Another tell tale sign of an unorganized life is untidiness or mess, both at the work place and at home. Here again, having a lot of mess laying about is bound to cause stress, and stress in turn often leads to overeating. As we can see, having a well organized lifestyle optimizes your chances for a happy and healthier life.
Many people resort to eating in the effort to handle stress and being disorganized is a surefire way of increasing levels of stress in your life.
Even health conscious people slip up from time to time and have to resort to instant meals or something similar because they have run out of supplies, but if your life is disorganized, you’ll find this happens to you far more frequently than it should. As a result, you find yourself eating junk foods more often than you eat wholesome foods.
Do you eat regular meals at regular times? If you’re disorganized then the chances are you don’t and this can very often lead to ill health. Eating at regular times is essential in order to regulate ones blood sugar levels. Skipping regular meals can often cause a drop in blood sugar levels which in turn has a tendency to cause people to over eat.
Take time out to plan your meals ahead of time so that you always have everything you need at hand. This is the only way to ensure that your meals remain nutritious rather than filling yourself up with junk foods.
By being organized and having a shopping list where you have determined in advance the right foods for your diet you will be less likely to buy food that you shouldn’t be buying when you go to the supermarket.
Nobody on a weight loss program wants to spend all their waking hours contemplating what they can and cannot eat, or what their next meal will consist of. Being organized when you go and buy your groceries will take away this unnecessary burden as you’ll have planned ahead. The fact is, having a well organized life is critical with any weight loss program.

Nutritional Supplements Might Help to Control Asthma
More than 10 million Americans throughout the United States suffer from asthma. Asthma is very common, with doctors considering it to be a new epidemic.
Most Americans who suffer from asthma blame it on environmental pollution, along with the increasing exposure to toxic chemicals throughout the air. Deaths that result from asthma are on the rise, largely due to those who have it not recognizing the early warning signs.
While an asthma attack is in progress, the lung’s airways start to swell and secrete mucus. Soon they will start to spasm. As the airways get narrower, it gets more difficult to breathe. The most common symptoms of an asthma attack are wheezing, shortness of breath, coughing, congestion, fever, pain and dry mouth.
Just about anything can set off an asthma attack. The more common triggers include allergies, an upper respiratory infection, stress, overexertion, or even a poor diet. Out of all the triggers, allergies tend to be the most common.
Many attacks are a result of contact with irritants like pollen, gas odors, smoke, and exhaust fumes. Attacks can also be caused by foods like chocolate, dairy products, corn and peanuts. They can also be induced when you take antibiotics, tranquilizers or hormone therapy.
There are several mineral, vitamin, and herbal supplements that you can take as treatments for asthma. Among them, vitamin B is among the most important. Vitamin B maintains a biochemical balance in the body and it can also reduce the severity of the attacks.
If you take vitamin A and E together, they can work to protect your lungs against air pollution. You can also take large doses of vitamin C, as it is very effective in fighting asthma.
Another effective treatment for improving breathing and assisting with bronchial responses is gingko biloba. Odorless garlic is also a good alternative. The anti-inflammatory properties of this supplement decrease the risk of an asthma attack.
If you suspect that you may have asthma, don’t hesitate to visit your doctor and be tested for it as soon as possible. In the meantime, avoid known triggers and be sure that you are eating a high protein diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables.
An asthma attack can be a stressful experience, however there are always ways to defend against it and keep it from negatively impacting your life. If your doctor diagnoses you with asthma, ask questions and seek advice on what you ought to be doing.
You can sometimes help to avoid an asthma attack by using natural products like vitamins and nutritional supplements. There’s no reason to avoid enjoying your usual activities. It can often be managed successfully although it might slow you down somewhat.

Food for your Body and Soul
As the old saying goes, health is wealth. And in this case we are referring to spiritual wealth. Whole food is good for our health because our body is able to absorb its full nutrients – the same with our life. When we embrace our life as a whole, savoring all the experiences and feelings in it, our soul will be able to absorb its full ‘nutrient’, grasping the full essence of our existence, and enabling us to live our life to the fullest. Masami Sato shares the magic of living a whole life in this excerpt from her latest book, ONE.
Why is it that many of us, (actually, most of us) now and then feel some sort of a barren sensation in our lives? It is like being ravenous. When we eat, we are satiated and become slightly indifferent to food. But after some time, we once again feel like having food. Then suddenly we are drawn again to the aroma and picture of food. We can also feel strange pangs of hunger when we are not actually craving for food – just after having eaten something. Some of us have a craving all the time.
Perpetual emotional vacuum is not the best of feelings. Then how do we live our lives to the maximum? How can we be more fulfilled forever?
Maybe the answer is straightforward: just live our lives fully. The word ‘full’ holds the meaning of entirety. Then the secret to live a life in entirety is only to live it fully.
Let us begin by looking at an example of this ‘completion’ with something very close to our mind – our stomach.
Whole Food VS Semi Food
We have heard the term ‘whole food’. They say that eating whole food is the key to the health and wellness we seek. Then why is whole food so much better than ‘half food’?
A complete grain pulsates with a life of its own. If one keeps the complete grain in water, drains it off and keeps it for a few days, it germinates. It has got a full life. When we consume such an item, our body absorbs the full spectrum nourishment. It has the ability to clean, cure and nourish various body cells.
As in the example of a grain, most conventional dining includes having whole creatures as well. Having entire fresh fish used to be more popular than taking a portion of fish and throwing the balance away. It was ditto for poultry and also for vegetables.
‘Part food’ sometimes tastes better and smells better but does not have much nutrition. We may enjoy its taste, but we could have some lasting illness if we only ate ‘part food’ all days of our life.
So, to make up for the missing half, we began to take nutritional supplements. We have been trying and researching for pretty long to find the perfect equilibrium. It gets more and more difficult as we slice the food up, add preservatives and transport, and even try to supplement with other parts coming from various sources, places and seasons. Some of the nutrients are not even from natural resources. They are synthetically generated. After it is tested and analysed, it is approved for man’s consumption. But however hard we try, we cannot merge the ‘bits’ from different sources to make it alive.
Part Life-’Sweetness’ of Life
So, if we view our life now, a lot of what we are doing is akin to eating ’semi food.’ Just relishing the sweet taste of life but discarding the actual nourishing part. And if we immerse this ’semi life’ in water with other bits and kept it under the sun, could it sprout and develop into a lovely full life?
Whole food is not (as some people seem to believe) of a bland taste. In fact it tastes better if cooked properly. But as requirement is low, it is more costly. It is in reality more cost-effective in the long term though, as we will have to pay less as medical costs later on. When more people will start having it, it would automatically become less expensive as it is a simple food with less processing cost and waste.
Our life is identical. When we are only conscious of the ’sweet taste’ and discard the remainder into the dust bin because we do not realise its worth, we may be jettisoning the most important component. And that which we cast out could have the maximum power for the substantiation of our life and our financial system. It also needs more vigour and sources to throw it away. Better yet, that which we throw away comes at no cost.
So, what is it that we do not perceive?
Think of a life where we didn’t actually sense we were missing anything there.
The secret is right here. The secret of a complete life.
Entire Life-The Complete Life
When it’s ‘whole’, it doesn’t matter how big the whole is. It can expand simultaneously. It can still contain all the elements to sustain itself as a whole living being. Once it grows to a certain size, it can still live without some of the parts. Like plants can live after being eaten a little by birds or trees still thrive even after losing their leaves. But if we neglect the balance for a very long time, eventually it can start creating a fatal imbalance. Then it could become too complicated to get back into balance.
We do not have to revert to Stone Age to find entirety. Entirety exists in the current. All we should do is watch intimately; watch intimately enough to actually see.
When we begin seeing our life in its fullness and stop casting out what nurtures our life the most, we start experiencing more and more satisfaction without looking for ‘things’ to fill the gaps and hollows of our life. Things finally fit into place. We now grasp the intricacies of our world in a completely different manner.
Yes, it is now time to discover how we can fashion (and perceive) this equation consistently and affordably.
The real nourishing part of our life is what makes us feel good deep down. It is like the part of food that makes our body become healthy in the long-term. Feelings we experience in our everyday life are the real key to our long-term happiness. And there are feelings that make us feel more complete.
The happy faces we see when we give recognition to others. The pleasure we experience when we give presents to others. The affection we feel when we see our kids being happy. The encouragements we get when we feel our life is full of significance ..
Let us absorb these moments of our life wholeheartedly and savour the aroma of our full life. Then we will find how it is not obligatory to incessantly fill our heart (and belly!) with earthly satisfactions – those types of things that only add to our yearnings afterwards.
We can actually experience this delight, thankfulness and affection in order to sense life as a whole at any minute irrespective of the circumstances. It is not about what we perceive, what we are told or how we act that conclude our life as a whole. It is about what we ‘opt to’ feel about our life.
Yes, our life indeed is already absolute.
When we start taking actions based on this understanding, we can become true masters of the balance creation-long-term health, wealth, nurturing relationship and happiness.

How to Order a Delicious Vegan or Raw Meal at Any Restaurant
Have you recently resolved to eat a primarily vegan or raw-vegan food-based diet and are now wondering how you are going to dine out at regular food restaurants? This can definitely be a challenge following this sort of diet and lifestyle, especially if you want to maintain and hopefully grow your social life! Dining out at restaurants and in other peoples homes is definitely going to happen to. In fact-dining out is the most popular social activity of our culture.
You can absolutely eat a delicious, nutritious, vegan, and even raw meal at any restaurant, whether it caters to your particular diet or not. The most important tip for maintaining this type of diet is thinking ahead and bringing type of supplemental snack with you!
Most likely you’re going to be ordering a salad at the restaurant. Perhaps it will be a chicken salad without the chicken, a shrimp salad without the shrimp, or an order or two of the simple house garden salad. If the restaurant offers an organic or local salad–even better for you!
Never be afraid to ask your server to customize a salad for you. You can create your own salad by looking at the menus salads and entree side vegetables to know what ingredients the restaurant has on hand. Ask for a big salad with greens, other than iceberg, as the base and a variety of different chopped raw vegetables on it. Ask for as many different colored vegetables as possible. If the restaurant has any guacamole or avocado anywhere on the menu–fantastic! Now you know they have avocados in their kitchen and you can ask for avocado to be put on your salad as well if you’d like.
It’s best to be as kind and discrete as possible with your server and they will most likely do their very best to assist you. Your salad can be the most beautiful and artistic salad the restaurant has ever made! It might just have other customers turning their heads to ask where it was on the menu and complimenting you on your choice. As for salad dressing, safe bets are usually the restaurant’s vinaigrette, some lemon slices, or oil and vinegar.
Now, you may not get enough protein, fat, carbohydrates, or calories from this salad and this is where a bit of planning comes in handy. In your purse or pocket, you might want to bring along a handful or two of nuts or seeds, dried fruit (can be your dessert!), a raw food bar, or a whole grain bar, in a small plastic baggie. You’ll be glad that you did.
The most crucial thing for your dietary success is to do whatever it takes to be happy and satisfied with your dinner. You want to be totally in the present with your friends and family and one of the worst situations is to be missing out on all the fun because your stomach’s still grumbling and you’re still thinking about food!
Other salad supplement options that you could bring with you are superfoods such as hemp seeds, goji berries, or dried sea-vegetables, but be forewarned–this will definitely turn some heads if you’re not with the right crowd. So this just depends on how comfortable you feel around your dining-mates. A famous raw foodist in Chicago does this to her salads at “cooked-food” restaurants because she enjoys raising the nutrition and vibration of all her food, especially if it’s not organic.
Here are some more tips for vegans and raw foodists dining out at a cooked food restaurant:
Candied nuts and seeds often are added to salads and are coated with sugar so beware if you’re avoiding sugar or excess oil. Watch for cheese or dairy-based salad dressings that come automatically on the salad if you don’t ask for them to be held. A date or some dried fruit and a small piece of chocolate is a great idea to bring with you for your own personal after meal dessert, especially if everyone in your party will be ordering dessert after the meal. Plain steamed vegetables make a great side or entree to your salad if you’re not on a 100% raw food diet.
If you’re confident, comfortable, and relaxed about your meal options, your friends or family may not even notice what you’re doing. But if you’re feeling uncomfortable and ashamed about your diet then they’re going to be a lot more interested in you. Most likely, if you’re nonchalant, you will get some comments on how amazing your food looks at the very most!
Try to have a simple definition planned and rehearsed about your diet that you can give others if and when they ask. The easiest line to give is “I’m just trying something new out right now,” or “This is just how I prefer to eat right now and I’m feeling the results already.” Whatever you say, try to say it in the most positive and confident way possible.
If you’re not comfortable dining out with others on the vegan or raw-vegan food diet and lifestyle, you can always eat beforehand and let others know you had a late lunch or breakfast. Just make sure to bring a snack in your purse or pocket just in case you’ll be out for a while.
No matter what type of diet you adhere to, hopefully you will now to able to comfortably eat out at any sort of restaurant. Eating out may not be as enjoyable as it used to be when it comes to the food–because you are now eating much more nutritious meals at home but maintaining that social component is very important for your long term success of your diet. Maybe next time you’re friends want to meet up for a meal you could propose a new vegan or raw food restaurant that you’ve never been to before. They might have a change of heart on how delicious and beautiful these meals can be!

Can Water Help to Lose Weight?
Weight loss happens when you burn more calories than you consume. So how can water help to lose weight?
For one thing water contains zero calories, so you can drink as much water as you like without gaining any weight. Water also flushes out your system, which helps with your overall weight loss plan. Water is an all natural substance that is vital to all bodily functions including metabolism and brain function.
Eight or ten, 8 ounce glasses of cold, fresh water per day will have a very positive effect on your weight loss efforts.
Many people don’t like the taste of their local tap water, so buying spring water or bottled water may be an alternative to the tap.
Sugary drinks like soda, fruit juice with added sugars, and alcoholic drinks like beer and wine should be avoided as they can contain anywhere from 100 to 350 calories per serving. Have a tall, cold glass of water instead.
Remember that water is never a substitute for food. If you consume less than 1000 to 1500 calorie per day, your metabolism will slow to a crawl making your body burn even fewer calories and slow down your weight loss efforts.
Adding more water to your diet is very beneficial to your overall weight loss plan but be sure to eat plenty of nutritious foods throughout the day and get at least 30 minutes of light exercise at least 4 times a week.
It really is simple to lose weight. Eat 4 or 5 small nutritious meals each day, get plenty of light exercise, and drink more water. Can water help to lose weight? You bet it can.
